A world premiere stage adaptation of Michael Rosen’s novel, opens at the venue from Saturday 11 to Saturday 25 February as part of the theatre’s ‘Made in Northampton’ season. Featuring an exciting live sound track of beatboxing and R&B, this new play with music then embarks on a national tour.
The play itself intertwines the story of Shona, a modern day school child facing a tough time, as she starts a new school, and the story of Dickens’ Oliver Twist, drawing parallels between some of the situations they face. The music tracks are from three contrasting numbers which give a great idea of the breadth of styles.
